How to Trade In Your Plae Shoes


We invite you to take part in the Plae Trade-in Event. Send in your used or new Plae shoes to Kidizen for trade-in and get 1000 Plae Reward Points per pair ($10 credit). Points will be awarded into your Plae Rewards account within 30 days from processing date. It's easy to create a Rewards account at Plae, simply create a store account at


Who is conducting the Plae Trade-in Event?

Kidizen, Inc. is conducting the PlaeTrade-in Event in partnership with Plae. Kidizen owns, manages, and operates the online marketplace. Kidizen will maintain all records related to shoes received as part of the Plae Trade-in Event.

What items are accepted to trade-in?

We accept any Plae shoes that are in new or gently used condition. You may include the original box but it's not required.

What is not accepted:

  • Separate shoe tabs
  • Any item that is damaged, has excessive dirt or has not been cleaned, scuffs, frayed stitching, defective or damaged items, or excessive wear
  • Items missing the insoles, tabs, or laces

Credit is only given on items that are accepted.


What condition do the items need to be?

In order to receive Plae Reward Points, shoes must be in new or gently used condition, and be odor-free. We do not accept brands other than Plae, damaged shoes, or shoes that have excessive dirt, scuffs, or wear. All shoes must have the insoles and tabs or laces. 

Items received that are not in acceptable condition will be donated to one of Kidizen’s partner charities and will not be returned to the sender.


How many items can I send?

You can send as many items as you’d like, so long as they are Plae shoes and meet the condition requirements stated above.


What do I receive in exchange for sending the items?

Plae is offering 1000 Reward Points per pair of shoes received that are in the accepted condition mentioned above. 1000 Reward Points equals $10 off a qualifying minimum purchase which can be redeemed at For more information about Plae's Rewards Program, visit


When do I receive my Reward Points?

Points will be awarded to your Plae Rewards account within 30 days.


How do I trade in my Plae items?

You will be mailing your items to us. Once you fill out the trade-in form, head to your email for further instructions. You can purchase a label through any online provider, such as Sendle or PirateShip, or through the Post Office.

When filling out the trade-in form, please also be sure to use the email address associated with your Plae Rewards account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one here

To ensure we have the information needed to process your trade-ins, we ask that you print out a copy of your trade-in form that was emailed to you after submitting your trade-in request and include it in the package. If you don’t have a printer, you can simply write your name and trade-in ID (provided in the email) on a piece of paper and include it with your items.  


What should I use for packaging?

We strongly encourage you to reuse any packaging materials you have from shipments you’ve previously received because it’s the most eco-friendly option! Do you have an Amazon poly mailer or box? Perfect! Just be sure to remove the old shipping label or place your shipping label so that it covers the prior label.  


What happens to items that aren’t accepted?

Items received that are not accepted will be donated to a partner charity and will not be returned to the sender.


If my items are donated, is the donation tax deductible?

Since we are not a charitable organization, your donation is not tax deductible.


What happens to the items once they are dropped off or mailed in?

If you mail in your items, we will match up the name and address used for the return address and/or the form included in the package with the information you provided in the trade in form. We will then provide Plae with the information needed to deposit the correct amount of reward points into your Plae Rewards account. Points will be awarded to your Plae Rewards account.
