In short, the Style Scouts serve as the local area representative for parents who have great merchandise, but don't want to list and sell it themselves. Services that the Scouts provide include:

• Free in-home consultation to help determine which items to sell
• Listing on Kidizen, including photographing the items
• Management and promotion of listings
• Shipping once the items sell

Scouts and their clients split the profits after the Kidizen fee and shipping costs are deducted.

 

How it works:

• A Kidizen Style Scout will either pick up directly from your home or schedule a meet-up location to pick up your inventory. Scouts accept a limited amount of brands, see below for the complete list. 
• The Scout will prep, photograph, list, store, and ship your items once they sell. They cover the shipping supply costs as well. 
• Scouts will decide on the listing price since they are the experts but if you have any specific items that are special and had a certain price in mind, make sure to let the Scout know. 
• You are paid for your items once they sell and you and the Scout split the profits (listing price minus the fees and shipping). Typically Scouts pay out monthly, the profits will go directly into your Kidizen account in which you can use the money to either cash out to your bank or PayPal account OR use the money to purchase more on Kidizen! 
• Scouts will sell your items for at least 6 months. At this point, the Scout may reach out to ask if you would like to donate any remaining items or have them returned to you.
